Commercial Lines Account Management Support

Petra RMS is seeking a full-time Commercial Lines Account Management Support role in the Birmingham, AL area to provide service support to an established book of commercial accounts. This is a training role with the goal of transitioning to a Commercial Lines Account Manager role.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Review Policies for accuracy and completeness
  • Follow up with clients and insurance companies regarding insurance policy outstanding items (e.g. outstanding A/R, copies of policies, endorsements, etc.)
  • Issue Certificates and Auto ID Cards
  • Make general changes to client information within agency management system
  • Add/Delete: Vehicles, Drivers, Equipment
  • Inputs client policy transactions in accordance with company guidelines
  • Documents all activity related to a customer/policy in agency management system
  • Maintains confidentiality of all information related to clients, agency, employees, companies, or as appropriate, other information
  • Provides prompt, accurate, and courteous service to customers, producers, account executives and company personnel
  • Improves insurance skills and knowledge by seeking out educational opportunities


Desired Skills:

  • Possesses strong computer knowledge and skills including experience with Microsoft Office programs
  • Possesses excellent organizational skills, is detail oriented, problem solver, and self-starter
  • Demonstrates positive customer service and sales skills, internally and externally, with effective communication, respect, and integrity
  • Has the ability to perform multiple tasks in a complex working environment accurately and proficiently


Education/Experience:

  • Preferred experience within the Insurance industry, specifically Property and Casualty field
  • Preferred experience working within the Applied EPIC system
  • College Degree Preferred
