Rux Carter Insurance has been serving the insurance needs of Central Alabama for over 117 years. We are proud to be the oldest insurance agency in Shelby County, AL. We have an immediate need for a Commercial Lines Account Manager (Customer Service Representative). We are a family-owned agency who greatly values our team members! We want to provide an incredible customer experience and have fun doing it!

Job Duties:

  • Provide excellent service to an existing book of commercial insurance clients
  • Facilitate and document client needs including premium payments, policy changes, certificates, binders, and evidence of property
  • Help facilitate new and renewal business processes including policy checking, quoting/marketing, and information gathering
  • Documentation of client activities (phone calls, emails, texts, meetings) in Agency Management system
  • Collaborative interaction with all team members

Desired Skills:

  • Strong customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to take ownership of accounts and a desire to seek the knowledge necessary to accomplish necessary tasks to provide a great customer experience
  • Proficient computer knowledge including Microsoft Office, Microsoft Exchange, Adobe, and Excel.
  • Background in assisting commercial clients with Certificate Processing, Insurance Renewals & Remarketing, New Business Quoting & Proposals
  • Self motivated and positive team player that can work well with other team members
  • High attention to detail with an emphasis in time management and organization

Desired Experience/Education:

  • A minimum of 1 year of commercial lines account management experience highly preferred
  • Current Alabama Property & Casualty Insurance License
  • Preferred work experience working with Vertafore AMS 360 online experience
  • College Degree is preferred
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
